Classes and Supplies

Classes in copper foil method for the beginner* are available throughout the year at the studio.

Class size is kept small, allowing for personal attention. Groups are taken through the steps of glass cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering, to create a copper foil panel. Use of tools and glass are included in the tuition.
If students wish to purchase their own tools for foil work, they are available at a student discount,

Sessions are 2 hours and held in the evenings*, once
a week for 5 weeks, at a cost of $250.

Class schedules are determined by response and availability of studio space. Again, class space is limited and spots are offered on a first come-first serve basis.

Available classes in copper foil technique include:

Week 1:	Safety tips and tools, exercises in cutting glass
Week 2:	Cutting glass and filling to pattern
Week 3:	Grinding edges of glass to fit pattern
Week 4:	Foiling glass pieces
Week 5:	Soldering and finishes

Weeknight classes run from 6-8pm
Cost if class includes glass for project plus use of studio tools- Just bring yourself !
Students may purchase tools and supplies.

*Continuing students are usually accommodated on Saturday afternoons on a one-to-one basis for an hourly fee.
